From the recall program:
"Apple has determined that, in a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro units, the battery may overheat and pose a fire safety risk. Affected units were sold primarily between September 2015 and February 2017 and product eligibility is determined by the product serial number."
“If your MacBook Pro is eligible, please stop using it and follow the instructions below to have your battery replaced.”

My experience with them:
I am 3 years and smth MacBook user so far and not thinking about stopping being one. Taking all things into acc, I should mention two cons I’ve experienced during that period. The first con is the anti-glare coat which wore off almost two years ago, and the second is the battery life, which decreases significantly in virtually no time when charged fully(started happening just recently). All other things work wonderfully since OS and speed still work as it would be the first week of usage.
