I have been using an Apple MacBook Air for some time now. The build quality of all Apple laptops have been consistently superior to their Windows counterparts and the MBA is no different. It has a very sturdy build and can withstand small bumps against the wall and even minor falls on the floor. I have experienced both.
The screen(non retina in my case) is really nice. The colours and contrast on the MBA is great and the auto brightness feature is a blessing in disguise.
The backlit keyboard on the MBA was one of the main reasons why I bought a 68000 rupees machine. The backlit keyboard with the butterfly effect is a pleasure to use both during day as well as in darkness.
The Flash SSD on the MBA is revolutionary. I previously experienced HDD failures on my old Windows laptops and was actively looking for a non rotating disk laptop. The SSD is a beast and the data transfer rates are something you have to witness to believe for yourself.
Safari, Pages, iTunes and all other softwares that come pre loaded with the Macintosh OS have all been reviews and tested over several years. They are all reliable and fast softwares that cater to all your needs.
I just didnt like the soldered RAM modules on Apple laptops. In India, you cannot order a customised Apple laptop unlike other countries. The soldered RAMs mean you cannot physically upgrade the RAM unlike a Windows laptop and cannot enhance your machines performance. Sad for an otherwise brilliant machine.
