This is my first Apple laptop, I have always been using Windows computers but decided to take the plunge as it was recommended for a graphic design course I am doing.
- Design:-
Very sleek and modern. Seems to be made from high quality material. It had the new force touch pad, which is quite nice.
The best thing about it, in my opinion, is the Retina screen, which is absolutely superb. It really makes life more beautiful.
The sound quality is great and so is battery life. I can work on it for an entire day without needing to charge it.
- Functionality:-
Very fast and comes pre loaded with a lot of apps, including the Apple equivalent of the Microsoft Office Suite.
It takes a while to get used to it if you are switching from Windows but in my experience its quite an easy transition. Everything is intuitive and I didnt have to check any manual or google anything once.
In terms of performance, theres no lag and it operates very fast. I plan to install the Adobe Suite, which I havent yet. This is the reason why I bought the 15 inch model over the 13 inch, as this one has a larger screen and a quad core processor.
- Price:-
Well. ouch. Its much more expensive than any high end Windows laptop, but in my opinion it is worth it. It delivers a unique experience and it screams quality and attractive design.
I will keep on using it and imagine that the more I learn the more informed an opinion I will be able to have, but hope this helps you to begin with.
