Well, when it comes to laptop, apple is less considered in india. There may be several reasons for this. Maybe because all softwares in india is better compatible with PCs than macintosh, or that it is expensive or that there is lack of service centers in india. But for anyone from bangalore, and for someone who just wants a personal laptop and would still want to run windows XP can still consider Mac book or Mac book pro!!No it was not a typo, you can run windows XP on Mac too!!!.....using boot camp software which was introduced a few months ago. Ive tried it and its amazing that I can run both systems on my Apple. Well, between Macbook and Pro Ive used both and I like Pro for it has more fun features like the backlit keypad which senses darkness and lits automatically! As for the service in india, belive me, it wa sreasonably good. I recently visited bangalore and happened to have problems with the charger of the mac pro, and when contacted they replaced it immediately with a new one! No questions asked. Bear in mind they had not yet introduced pro then (1month ago). I do agree that it is slightly expensive but there are a lot of PCs out there that are equally or more expensive too, which are prone to viruses. The fact that viruses dont bother Mac and the fact that the system runs smoothly without sudden crashes which is common with PCs make it worth the money. Not that Im against PC but after trying both the PC and Mac, I personally prefer Mac and highly recommend it. The latest Pro has everything you want except for the WLAN. Im sure theyll pretty soon take care of that shortcoming as well.
