I bought Macbook with Core Duo 2 GHz Processor, about 10 months back, and sad to say with in two months Core 2 Duo with 1 GB ram and 120 GB HDD was in market for the same price. I felt bad towards Apple for pushing me back so fast.
I dont have much to write about Macbook I bought, since it would be repetition of what every one has written so far. There is hardly any thing I have complaint against.How ever I would point out an insignificant feature, on which too, Apple has paid lot of attention. While I was listening to music using iTunes, I had an in comming call on skype. The moment I answered the call the iTunes volume got reduced automatically. There are many other features which I have yet to explore.
Other feature is the sensitivty of the mic. I use an iPod head phone on my mac for talking on skype from my place of work to my home. My wife at the other end could hear even the faintest noises on the installation I am working.
A few things I did not like: I wished Apple change their uncompromising attitude. At the time of purchase I requested for memory upgrade. They said, I will have to pay the full price of the 1 GB simms and they wont buy back the existing 256 x 2 simms. If they had such policy, the laptop should have been shipped with single 512 MB simm.
The other feature with which I am not happy is the speakers. This laptop speakers are not at all audiable. One would expect a little more output from the speakers. But with head phones it is great. I am proud of this laptop, and this laptop becomes my colleagues’ envy who spent hours together trying to remove just one antihost.exe from Windows system.
