Ref: Invoice NO 3231. Indiranagar Store, Bangalore.
I Had Purchased a "Nuby" no Spill baby spiller worth Rs 450/- from your Indiranagar store on 27.07.2012.
On reaching home and on opening the pack, the same was filled with water, i noticed water spilling out from the edges where the top is screwed to the bottle. The thread was also noticed to be not rotating smoothly. I have been using Nuby Products for the last three years and I knew the difference, this was clearly a manufacturing problem .
Next day on 28.07.2012, I went back to the store with the original Invoice and the original packing and complained about this defect. He also checked the same and acknowledged the problem. He brought this to the notice of the Store In-charge " Mrs Asha" who surprisingly refused to replace the product. She said that she cant go on replacing each and every product which is brought back.(Was she tired of saying this or is this store selling defective products ? the meaning is very clear)
She says the store is not liable for none of the the products sold in her store even though the Invoice clearly states that if a customer is unhappy with a product sold, then he can approach for a exchange. I went back with the original packing and Mrs Asha says that she will accept the product back, if the bottle is in a sealed pack. Did she think that I have a divine foresight that the product is defective and I should not open the pack and bring it back to them in the same sealed pack? and she has the attitude to tell that she cant sell it again since the pack is open. Did she mean to say that she wants to put a defective item back for sale on the counter?Why is she in the store if she cant listen to the complaint of a product and she nor the store accepts no liability nor responsibility for any products sold by them? She very clearly says this.!
And Just for my satisfaction, she calls up the Nuby Product representatives " Mr. Rajan & Mr Ravi ". I was in front of her, I could clearly make out that they told if the product is defective, she can replace them, but she went on insisting them and telling them that she will not take the product back and how is she sure that they will take the product back. She was more worried about having a Rs 450/- product stuck with her than satisfying a customer that she is indeed taking the complaint seriously.
I will never walk into your stores again and I am going to put this reviews on each and every consumer complaint website unless action is taken against this Store Manager .
Thank god that I just Lost Rs 450/- here, What would have been my condition if I had purchased some thing more worth here and I had to listen to this Lady’s nonsense.
