When I decided to do my MBA abroad there were basically 2 countries that I kept in Mind, one being United States and the other obviously the United Kingdom. Being settled in the Middle east, I had been glancing through the careers page of almost all newspapers published in Middle east and most adverts asking for qualified people from the above 2 countries, which resulted my preference to the above.
My next step was to decide on a country, it was quite simple. I compared the completion time and the fees structure and found that Most MBA courses in the UK takes not more than a year as compared to the 2 years course in US. Though the fee is almost the same for 2 years in US & 1 year in UK, I still preferred UK as I could save a lot on my living expenses (food, accommodation & entertainment expenses).
Moreover, UK is traditionally well known for its academics as compared to the US, for that matter even Australia.
Then being an Indian and used to exams, UK still follows the similar style in assessing a students performance. Doing an Assignment is also a necessity; however, it wasnt a major drawback for me.
Well! Do admit that the British system is more difficult as compared to the relaxed US system , however, my aim was to study and I weighed the pros & cons which helped me decide UK to be the best place to study.
Job opportunities might be better in US; however, my plans being different never made me think seriously on that subject matter.
Well! Due to my lack of Interest & research in Australian universities, I feel it’s not right for me to comment on that subject matter.
Hope this review helps you to decide on your place of study.
Good Luck!
Ash.
