I know the moment I write this review some1 from Aramex will mark this comment as biased that’s what they have been doing here if anybody tries show their true color, but that won’t stop me from telling you all the truth about the** inefficiency** of this so called courier service.
My 1st experience was due to **myntra** where I placed order for 3 Proline t shirts on 17th August 2011 myntra shipped them on that very day and they were destined for Calcutta.The Calcutta Aramex office received them on 20th August. I’ve been watching closely about the whereabouts as I was pretty eager and excited about my 1st buy from myntra.Even after waiting for 4-5 days there was no response from their end neither did they deliver nor did they update about the parcels.So I called myntra and talked to Chirag. B, He took the initiative and only after that the parcles were delivered on 26th in the early morning.
Chirag .B confimed that this was a issue never to happen again and he is really a nice guy he called on me twice or thrice daily to learn whether I have received the parcel or not.So having my faith placed upon him I ordered again 3 Proline Tees as soon I did receive my 1st parcel(** though even after 10 days**).
Boy did I knew then that Aramex is worthless beyond limit and it is their de-facto standard not to deliver and they stick to their point.The second consignment was received at the Kolkata office 28th around 2 am in the morning.So they have had 28th whole day, 29th whole day, 30th whole day and as I am writing this it’s 31st around 11 Am till now they are yet to deliver.I simply can’t understand what could take so long to deliver within city limits.Even if they deliver by foot this could not happen.If there were a slow walking race between a snail, tortoise and Aramex surely they would come first rest assured and they would never reach the destination at all.They are pathetic period.
Judging from the reviews and from Aramex website what I’ve learned is they have only one office in Calcutta and they expect to cover whole Calcutta metro by that.This is also true for most of the cities very few offices or distribution point compared to even local next guy courier.The business practice they follow is somehow manage one office at-least in a city so the air delivery is quick at-least then they will manage somehow by 3rd party agent at the cost of the customers waiting for all eternity.
