I wanted to order a designer cup, a Ganesha idol, a perfume and box of chocolates for a birthday and ordered days ahead of it providing sufficient processing time. I did receive auto emails stating that order has been confirmed and received, and finally delivered to recipient.
After receiving the final delivery email I called the person (since I am away, and hence placed an online order), was surprised to know that it has still not reached. I wrote to Customer care giving the status and awaited response - wrote to them for 3 consecutive days and failed to receive any response. After it I was constrained to forward it to an email address which seemed belonging to a decision making authority of Arechiesonline.com and I received a prompt response which was at the same time a lame excuse for non-delivery.
What I liked about Archies In-store : Very good in-store collection indeed. Especially cards and various gift items, barring a few its reasonably priced. Card’s collection esp. is very good.
What I dislike about Archies In-store: None in particular.
Archies physical store and online entity are not the same. I expected the same service level and hence placed an order through them. Despite 3 humble reminders when I failed to receive any reply or acknowledgements whatsoever I registered it through other email, published in their site. I got an almost immediate response which was a lame excuse of ‘Delay due to location finding.
I have specified how to reach with prominent landmarks, as part of address itself. The address is a very prominent location in the old city and on university road. Also the recipients mobile no. was mentioned as part of address. Neither the courier nor the company tried to reach for the purpose of locating the address. Varanasi being a very small city this location is very easily locatable with the given directions in address.
I don’t understand why Customer care wont response to repeated requests – whatever be the status
Also at the same time they have delivered 10 auto-mails stating its delivered – mutually conflicting status
I tried calling customer services, however the phone got disconnected several times/ not picked up. Since I was calling from Canada using VOIP I given them the leeway of technical issues on my end.
Feedback on Archiesonline email Customer Care: In one word – Rough. Don’t expect resolution unless you are CC’ing some big shots of their company.
My recommendation to Mouthshut users: If possible do Archies in-store shopping. Archies-online is incapable of providing services in time. Quality of goods are excellent and no doubt about it. However my point it as a customer they are charging the full price before start processing orders. End users should not bother on what logistics partner they chose to work with. In my case I placed orders on 22nd March expecting it would get delivered on 25th March which was the birthday. Awaited delivery until today and that too had to do follow ups. It’s the responsibility of vendor to ensure they keep the promise - its business.
