Story
Its the story of a father and his two sons - one son is adopted and the other one is his own son. This father Adi Narayanan (Prakash Raj) was a rowdy in his youth days and had a child through his wife but since he got seperated from his wife, did not know that he had a son. He moved over to Chennai and became a big name to be reckoned with. He adopted a son Kutty (Arya) who is another rowdy. Sathya (Navdeep) is that son who lives with his grandpa (mother’s father) in Nagercoil but comes to Chennai for studies. How he meets his father and adopted brother and what happens is the story!
Cast:
Prakash Raj: Do I need to say anything about this mind blowing actor? Time and again, he has proved his worth in this industry. Aasai, Ghilli, M Kumaran Son of Mahalaxmi, Arindhum Ariyamalum, etc. The list goes on and on. He is one of the finest actors of Tamil Cinema today. His smile is very captivating. The way he keeps watching his son sleep is in itself very sweet and emotional.
Arya: The next big actor in Tamil Cinema. Two consecutive hits and this guy has arrived (Ullam Kaetkume and Arindhum Ariyamalum). He has a very good screen presence. His body language was perfect for a rowdy and very good work by the actor to fit the role to a ’T’. This guy has a good sense of humor too and if he does comedy, I am sure he will come out doing it well. I am becoming a fan of him after his first two movies.
Navdeep: When I watched some promos of Jairam on Sun TV, wasnt very much impressed. But this guy is not bad at all. In some scenes, he impresses me. First of all, he has good looks. On his acting, he passes muster but he can surely fine tune his acting skills. Rest, nothing special to say but if this guy is nurtured well, he can be a force to be reckoned with!
Sandhya: Dont know her real name! Absolute carbon copy of Meera Jasmine!!!! Looks sexy throughout the movie. Even with that Pavadai Dhavani!!! She has a very hot number with Navdeep and that should appease those type of fans! But its surprising how exact a carbon copy she is of Meera Jasmine!!
Krishna: A very funny character!! I saw this guy in Autograph and Thirumalai and he had serious roles to play. But here, he does comedy and its fun to watch it. The scene where he cries in the hotel is really good
Music: Nothing special to say! Yuvan has done his job. The songs are hit.. But I didnt find any song to be listened to more than once!
Direction: Excellent!! This guy Vishnuvardhan deserves praise. He has given us a very taut screenplay and has moved his characters very well. Also he has one of the finest actors in his cast which adds great significance to his movie. He has a very good potential.
Cons: Unnecessary item song by Arya and a dancer!! It wasnt needed at all. Just to appease those front benchers and those B and C audience!!! The Navdeep-Sandhya number was too hot to handle! Family audiences wont watch this movie at all.
