Devarakonda vijaya sai got to high by his second block buster after pelli choopulu. Arjun Reddy is a movie which up brought the sensitivity of fragile heart when the love fails and the psychological struggle of the broken heart which has never been shown on the telugu silver screen till now. The director seems new only for the direction but not in narrating the movie as he proved himself as an experienced in his takeoff of the movie in the first half. The hero introduction and the ideas of the director in portraying his character stood as a bold move. The arrogance, straight forward and stubbornness totaled with intelligence is Arjun reddy. The Telangana slang and situational comedy added some more vibrancy to the movie that attracted the youth to watch the movie again and again.
However there were also some backdrops in the movie like lag in the second half which takes the movie at low pace than the first half. But it would be covered by some emotional scenes that would touch the softest corner of the heart of the audience. It is not exaggerated that the BGM of the Arjun reddy had already became the ringtone of the youth mobiles. Not like the previous melody musical hits like andhala rakshashi and yevade subrahmanyam, Radhan tried and succeeded in showing his new angle of bold and electrifying music which made the youth Arjun reddy maniacs. The cinematography and the locations added newness to the movie. The matured and intensified acting of Vijay is the main backbone for the movie success. He took the responsibility to his shoulders to keep the audience stick to the seats.
Along with the lag in the second half, the film has another setback of harsh language and signs that would make family audience feel more uncomfortable in frequent scenes. Though the characterization and situation demands the language and love making scenes, it repels adult to watch in theatres.
Overall, Arjun Reddy gave some impetus to the new comers into the industry to visualize their ideas and skills to prove themselves. The Telugu movie has tasted the new version of direction, narration and interesting way of storytelling. It is a good sign of taking new changes in the telugu films and it has again proved that the telugu people are movie lovers and always encourage new talents.
