For how long have you seen a logically consistent hindi movie. Preity is fresh, gracy is good. What can you expect from Anil, nothing, but he is not a low point, just too aged for the role. Amitabh is also good. Music is great. Meri zindagi mein aaye ho is superb. Samjhe is also great. Preity is pretty much a devil, very nicely portrayed.
There is not much in the story. But how much can you expect. This is what Dr. Sarabhai said about the Indian Space Programme. ’’We don’t fancy to compete with the advanced nations of the worlds in their quest in space. But we understand it well that to bring India to its rightful position in world we should be second to none. Technologies of the space programme will be developed to bring development to millions of indians.’’. I think similarly we should not make efforts in competing with Hollywood making sci-fi and compu-graphic loaded movies. But while we write the software and develop animations for those movies, we should concentrate on human relationship dramas in our films and be honest about it, make it with passion. This is what brings happiness to millions of Indians.
This Movie is one of the best in years. Over the 4-5 years there are only 4-5 movies like this from bollywood.
I felt that the low point was Amitabh talking when Anil hears about the accident. First half you will giggle all way. Comments of the nurses and Amitabh were cute. ’’Yeh Jo match shuru hua hai dekha tumne’’. ’’Ye engine to gadbad kar raha hai par tum dono kya kar ho’’. In the last 10 minutes, you will get real senti. I loved the dialogue ’’Ye Cat, MRI scan hai. Aap Germany, America, France, kahin bhi le jake dikhayiga, woh aapko batayega ki ek hindustani doctor ne kaise aapki beti ko maut ke munh se bachaya hai’’
Another good thing about the movie is that story doesn’t revolves around misunderstandings, stupidity and communication gap. This has been low point of many hindi movies. Here everybody speaks out, keeps things at face value.
