This is my first review on Mouthshut. I’ve never really written much in life so pardon any incongruity in the following matter.
Some background: I just relocated to Bangalore from the US (well almost, I had a sojourn of two months in between, in my hometown Hyderabad). I flew in from Hyderabad about ten days ago, one sunday evening. It was dinner time and I was very hungry. I was hosting my sister and brother-in-law (Bangalore residents) as well. We decided to go to Aromas of China, a restaurant close to my guest house (I had been to this restaurant in the past once). There was a queue and hence we had to wait. We registered our name in the queue and the hostess at the restaurant assured us that it would be just about twenty-five minutes waiting time. We decided to wait and not to go to any other restaurant. We waited for forty-five minutes and our chance did not turn up yet. So, I enquired again. She assured it would not take more than ten or fifteen minutes. I was promptly back after fifteen minutes and she assured again that it would take another ten or fifteen minutes. She acted brash this time with me as I was turning up often.I was back again after fifteen minutes. She said it would take another ten minutes. Again brash behavior! We spent more than one and half hours outside the restaurant door by this time. Finally they let us in. I was mad by this time. I was hungry for one thing but I was mad more because I was not given a choice to make a decision as to how to spend my previous - one and a half hours. I complained with the manager and asked for customer feedback form. They gave me one and then took it back saying they would get in touch with me the next day and listen to me at length.
They gave us a complimentary ice-cream dessert and never got back to me the next day or for that matter until today.
I think they take customers for granted. They act cheekily with customers and probably I’m still hung-over from my years of stay in the US.
