We had a birthday in the family and we decided to go to Aromas of China, at Oberoi Mall, Goregaon East. We were very excited about going there, and as we reached we saw that there were very few people inside the restaurant, which speaks volumes about customer service and also the food.:-|. Nevertheless we entered the place and settled down to enjoy our dinner.
Even though we were the only ones her, no one was paying attention to us for whole 10 minutes and we had to ask the waiters again and again to get us the menu. We order soup and I called for a Chicken Wonton Soup. Man was it bad or what? There was a weird smell coming from the soup, a very raw chickeny smell, due to which I was finding it difficult to have the soup. I did not want to get into the hassles of getting them to change it and settled for it.
Next came the starters. We ordered one Chicken and one Veg starter and it tasted absolutely bland and rubbery! We somehow finished it and called for a rice and noodle combination, which again was bland and we had to keep adding various sauces to make it more palatable. As there is a Natural’s Ice Cream outlet in the vicinity itself, we skipped dessert, paid our bill and left feeling absolutely unhappy and regretful of even stepping into this place.I hope they improve their service and also the way they make their food!
