The pilot episode of this show was not at all impressive. It was full of Shaky camera work and amateur acting. But don’t judge a series by its pilot episode. This is the kind of series that grows on you.
Plot - Oliver Queen is a spoiled billionaire who hasn’t worked a single day in his life. His family pretty much owns the fictional Starling City. After being shipwrecked, Oliver Queen finds himself on a mysterious island, the mysteries of which are revealed gradually through flashbacks. After five years he is rescued and returns a changed man with just one goal to clean the Starling City. Starling City will remind you a lot of Gotham, where crime has taken over. He returns as Oliver Queen the billionaire and also the Arrow, the vigilante in a hood with a bow and arrow who fights with the criminals. There is a long list of supporting characters, from partners in crime to villains, immortals. An action packed superhero series with romance, adventure, supernatural forces.
Cast - Stephen Amell plays the character of Oliver Queen and he is undeniably perfect. I am currently watching the 4th season and Stephen Amell has been awesome. The supporting cast is quite big, so I’ll stick to the important ones. Willa Holland plays the role of Thea Queen, Oliver’s troubled sister. Former Disney star Katie Cassidy plays Laurel Lance, Oliver’s ex and future crime fighter herself. Emily Bett Rickards plays the role of Felicity Smoak(my favorite character) the sassy, computer whiz who is a part of Arrow’s team and also his future love interest. There is a long list of characters which are introduced, killed and brought back again through the series.
To cut the long story short, Arrow is a perfect superhero series on television right now. Right blend of action, romance, vigilante justice, in short it is a complete package. Entertaining and
