Last night I was thinking to watch kabir singh, everyone in class had watched that movie, I also wanted to but sadly tickets got sold out.Then I saw article 15 was bound to release today, i was quite eager to see how many people would go to this movie, i waited for an hour thinking just as people and kids my age are eager to watch movies such as Kabir singh they would also want to watch Article 15. Sadly only few people turned up to book the tickets in about 3 hours.This morning I checked again, while kabir Singh’s tickets were fully booked till Weekend, ARTICLE 15 was struggling to fill the whole theater on it’s first day
Sadly this is the truth, and it breaks my heart.Important films like these dont reach many peoples.We are not trying to get informative or aware, we as an audience want just unrealistic entertainment like Bharat and Other commercial hollywood and Bollywood films. I am not saying entertainment is bad, it’s okay but just as we are eager to watch kabir singh, we should also try to support films like ARTICLE 15. Now kabir singh is entertaining, but so is Article 15. But you know what Article 15 is also realistic, highly gripping, uncomfortably true, un-imaginably insightful and most importantly a tight slap to castecism, politics, mob lynching, honor killing, corruption and other political and social problem that has been prevailing in India since it’s independence. Films like ARTICLE 15 are much needed in our country at present, we need to support films like ARTICLE 15 and MULK, we need these films to reach more and more audiences and especially our youth. ESPECIALLY Our YOUTH, so if you happen to be 15 years or above doesn’t matter what age, gender, caste or religion, please don’t give it a second thought just go and watch this Amazingly much needed film in your nearest theaters.
