Hi all I am sharing my experience With Arya packers and Movers, I Work in TCS and got transferred to Bangalore, and I was looking for a premium class and a Genuine Packers and Movers, I have used Agarwal Previously and not satisfied when I moved from Mumbai to Delhi, I had to much of time before move, so I started doing research to find some good packers and movers, its a sunday and I have a lot of time to spare today so let me tell you with the procedure I went through, what I thought, what I found, so you dont have to spend more time on research for the same, I hope my review helps other choosing the right movers .
First thing to check was the existence of company in market, usually when you call any mover they will lie to your face that the company is old enough, is in business for 10 years 20 years etc, a simple solution I did was to check the website registration of the company, and found Arya back to 2007, and they claimed that thy are in business for more longer but at those times website was not a big issue, well I can take that much to believe, few other said we changed our website, due to this reason that reason, which dint sound genuine, an established organisation never changes their logo or website .
Communication - the most important part deciding anything is communication, so honestly it was not that easy for me to take up one company for my move, I called up about 10 different companies for the quote, and spent hours taking to different people from different companies, out which genuinely Prabhat from Arya was more convincing, and also educated compared to the other people I talked to, its better to deal with an educated person rather than to deal with an uneducated fellow .
Costing - well most of the people loose their valuables, time and get in hassle when they usually fall for the low costing prospect, In any business its straight and simple, no one would spend money from their own pocket and provide good service or product to you, and if some one if offering you a way lesser price, it definitely means something is wrong here, it snot what I say, when you go through the complaints online registered by many many customers, you will see that, companies have charged enormous amount after picking up the goods and initially the quote was low, which made them choose the wrong company and resulting in paying much higher amount than a genuine mover would have charged you, or the quality of service will be down to hell . I will share some pics as well of some newspaper cuttings which I found while doing the research my self . where so many people are conned because of lower quote, (well I would say first they should have checked the above 2 points before deciding the mover).
Reviews - usually some people before deciding rely on the reviews, I say dont JUST rely on them you need to consider other factors aswell, reviews can be planted, and I dont say only positive reviews are planted, fake reviews can be planted aswell, its a little difficult to find out planted reviews, but sometimes its quite easy also, for example on mouthshut it self you will see companies established in 1, 2, or may be 3 years have more than 200-500 reviews, those are certainly fake and planted positive reviews, and for example on arya packers page itself you can see few negative reviews which are planted, for example p162_261(pankaj gilotra) this person has posted negative reviews for almost every business registered on mouthshut . another one is nyssacoutinho, read this review, this is a complete fake who would go ahead in the middle of the movement and say my work is going on and I am going to post a negative review even before the work is done .another one ssingh181097 sandeep sing, this same review is posted on agarwal and few other companies on same date, and one more thing is After confirming each and every detail I got to know that Arya does have office in Mumbai which is only for delivery purpose they dont take order from Mumbai.(WELL THESE ABOVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS MADE ME CHOOSE ARYA, MADE ME REALIZE THAT ARYA MUST BE DOING A GOOD JOB THAT SOME OTHER COMPETITORS ARE NOT HAPPY ABOUT).
Payment- usually most of the companies are happy to take 50-50 payment but are they asking you for cash? never deal with cash if your move is to a different city, only make a payment to the company account .
Insurance - Never ask for a all inclusive quote from any vendor, take a breakup of all items like transportation charges loading unloading charges, and packing material charges, taxes, and insurance, usually when you go for a all inclusive charge, you miss out the details of insurance, and then they dont give you the insurance copy and if something gets damaged the insurance cannot be claimed, and deduction of money from the moving company is just trouble, either arguments, fights, or legal and as a working professional we usually dont have time for these kind of things, so insurance is must, always just take the base price of loading packing unloading and transportation . do not discuss about how much insurance you are going to take on packing date, let the insurance part be at the end, on packing day, also tell the vendor if you are not sure to take the insurance or not and if you do you will only decide on packing day, This will help you to get accurate quote and you will not be conned . always ask for the insurance copy within 24hours of packing, if not pay in advance and get the insurance copy upfront . while the list is made always mention the value of particular items, so in case you if anything goes wrong with that particular item you could claim the insurance .
Packing Day - and Pre packing Day, - Always Make you own packing for ANY valuable you may have like documents cash watches etc, and carry those along with yourself . on the packing day make sure you ask the helper to go systematically, one room at a time, dont let them scatter in your house, this is when the packing quality may compromise, let them complete each room at one time and then move to the next, for me I asked 2 helpers to come and pack all the carton boxes like clothing kitchen misc items 2 days prior to the move date, which cost me extra 2500 which dint make much difference to me, reason I could supervise 2 guys easily, packing was done in clam manner no hush and rush, I made a list and marking of the contents of cartons boxes myslef, so it will be easier at the time of unpacking in Bangalore .
Confirm upfront about the Installation and Uninstall of each item.
So guys I think this is with all the above precautions I made my move, and it was smooth as butter, and at the end I would like to thank Mr Prabhat, you gave me a lot of information about the whole industry and process, ofcourse I had my own research but you always need an inside guy to know more, I took my time spoke to him a lot of times which helped me decide which way to go and understand the whole process, loopholes and precautions when you make a move .
