I had a very bad experience with Arya Packers & Movers. While shifting from Delhi to Hyderabad, I did a lot of look up on the internet to shortlist some packers and finally decided on using Arya Packers based on positive reviews. Turns out that none of the promises given were kept.
I was in touch with Mr. Prabhat Chaudhary for the booking. They behaved professionally until finalizing the deal and taking the payment, but after that I was horrified to find that they stopped receiving all calls. After some days of delay and nightmarish experience due to non-response, the goods finally arrived. But there were some goods missing, damaged and on top of that the service and behavior was totally unacceptable.
To be specific, here are the issues I faced:
1. Packing materials: The materials used were substandard. Fortunately, I had some good boxes from my earlier shifting using a different packers and I mostly ended up using that.
Bad handling: While packing, they broke the sofa centre-table glass and did not handle other goods properly. Few small valuable items went missing while being packed. I was promised that the glass would be replaced while delivering in Hyderabad. I was naive to believe this promise and ended up getting deceived on this as well.
Insurance not done: I paid charges towards insurance and I was told that a receipt would be sent over email, but there was no response on this as well. I couldn’t claim any damages on the goods.
No branch in Hyd: They did not have a branch in Hyderabad and the goods were transferred to some other company they had contract with. This company refused to offload goods until they got 100% of the balance payment, though Arya had assured that I would be able to check all goods before making payments. The behavior of the guys was outright rude and they did not seem to have any instructions from Arya, except the handover of the goods to them from some warehouse midway.
Damaged goods: The goods were in bad condition with lots of dents and scratches on the Almirah, Dining table, Dining chairs etc.
The worst part of the experience was the complete non-response of Arya packers after getting the payment. All calls and emails sent for the above issues went unanswered. I wouldn’t suggest Arya Packers & Movers to anyone. After my experience, I continue to be amazed that the online reviews posted here for them continue to be positive and in total disconnect with reality.
