Asambhav - TV Serial

My favourite TV serial ever!

A mind boggling, captivating screenplay

.

Above

average acting.

almosteveryone has done justice to

their bit in this story.

The setting/presentation, dialogs, story, characterisation, plot. definitely cater to the very niche

audience that is looking for un-daily-soap dramatics. on local TV.

Gist:

A family, The shastris, of 60 years ago, well-to-do,

zamindaars, money-lenders…

Raghunath Shastri - the zamindaar has three sons, one daughter.

The daughter’s husband is a wayward, evil rogue who lives with her on the ever supportive father-in-law’s estate taking care of the Shastri properties and businesses, while conveniently unhappy with his disabled wife.

A connected [read ’well-chained’] story of a servant [Sopan]. who’s been picked up by

this zamindaar  [Raghunath Shastri] due to non payment of some petty loan by this guy’s poor farmer father. who’s

only eying the Shastri wealth and wants to acquire it by hook or crook! For revenge.

He takes help of a pretty head-strong Devdaasi [Indumati]. who is later insulted when exposed so vows to

finish off the Shastri ancestry/name completely.

dies . and takes birth again. only to slowly discover that

a lot others have also re-appeared on the screen to give the war a different

ending.

You can keep feeling the team’s efforts about small small details almost everywhere. although a lo.h.t of places have been left with bigggg holes. bad [read ’atrocious’] patches of acting by ’un’-supporting cast.

Direction goes for a six once in a while. but all A.A.A.A.L.L. L. is pardonable since we are talking about some sort of epic story.

Cast.

Every single [main or otherwise] character has done justice to his/her assignment.

Shubhra a.k.a. Paarvati - Urmila Kanetkar - Superb;
