Modus operandi of Asian Paints representatives

Never trust the representatives of Asian Paints, who visit our house to evaluate it. Trust me, they are a sweet tongue scamsters.

I had two house to be painted in the same society. One I gave to my regular vendor, and other I gave to Asian Paints, who assigned a representative and a vendor to paint my house. Asian paints were 20% more expensive than my vendor, but still I gave it to them because I had earlier painted my Lonavala bungalow through them, and I got a warranty certificate, and I was very happy with their work, and their client representative, who hailed from Pune.

Initially, their representatives advised me to use their Aspire paint which they were willing to give 5 years warranty, and the quote they gave me was 1.20L. After a few days they came back that since I needed a mat finish, I should go with their Royale paint which was expensive by 15k, but that paint will only come with a one year product warranty only. Since they strongly advised me, I went ahead with their suggestion. After my painting got over, I started chasing my Asian Paints representative for a similar warranty certificate like my Lonavala Bungalow, and their representative totally changed his colours. He stated that in Royale paint, there is no warranty. Thank God I had emails in which I had mentioned that I am going with Asian Paints only for their warranty. After making a huge hue and cry, and sharing the emails. Their regional Manager intervened and informed me, that they will give me a written warranty from the vendor, who painted my house. I refused his request, because I had paid 20% more not on vendors reputation, but on Asian Paint’s reputation. My biggest mistake, was that I trusted a sweet speaking Asian Paints supervisor, who literally conned me. He kept on telling me that don’t worry, he will get it done. Basically, they tried to con me by giving a verbal promise on the warranty front. Same incident occurred with my friend too, from the same society. He too got similarly conned like me.

Therefore please be very careful while giving painting work to them. Pl don’t go by their verbal promises. Their house painting representatives are a bunch of liars and cheaters. Asian Paints also gives the painting work to normal painting vendors. Therefore their vendors are nothing extra ordinary, that we should end up paying 20% more to them. They had forgotten to paint my doors from the top, which my carpenter noticed… Therefore if you have a reliable painter, get your house painted through them. Pl avoid paying more, just because of Asian Paints name, and get conned by their representatives…

Since, I had two identical houses which got painted. I was in a position to compare the cost and the quality…The vendor who has done my painting job at a lesser price, without a warranty, was much better than the Asian Paints vendor. Pl avoid spending more and get cheated by Asian Paints representatives.
