I have an Asianet connection for the past few years. I think I know how they work. They heavily over subscribe and the speed is low to nothing. Often we wont be able to log in due to over subscription. Call them up and they will waste your 5 minutes repeating the same questions. What is your name? where are you from? Then silent for a couple of minutes. Can you switch off the modem please.
Again silent. Can you switch it on please. again silence. There is some repair going on in your area / there is a problem on your line. We will get it repaired soon. All these drama in spite of informing them that our modem gets no signal. Theyplay this game knowing damn well that their connection is off just to kill our time and discourage frequent complaints. They will get it repaired soon( may be by swapping some other connections) to be back to square one within a week.
I still use the connection to download some data before people get up in the early morning when the traffic is low.
Now these crooks have devised an innovative method to hoodwink customers. Call their customer number and tell your problem they ask you to wait. And you wait - for no reason at all- till your mobile balance expires. And there you go your mobile balance exhast and your complaint too. Actually there is no need for you to wait after you submit your complaint. But this is their trick to evade complaints. Since India being a lawless country such scoundrels thrive in glory.
