Asphalt Nitro - A packet of engines.

Asphalt 8 made headlines back when it wooed people with smooth graphics, addictive gameplay, and an overall unrivaled arcade racing experience. However, it had one HUGE drawback ( pun not intended) - it had a storage size of 1.5GB, now incrrased to about 2 gigabytes! So people were kind of put off. Gameloft, however, decided to cash in on the pocket sized explosive formula, and published Asphalt Nitro. Does it live up to A8’s high standards? Absolutely.THE PRESENTATION: So, basically, Asphalt Nitro is a De-make of Asphalt 8: Airborne, translating the game with simplified tracks, and a simplified graphics model in order to shorten the game to a mere 30 Megabytes! Well, sort of. The game has a download size of around 30 MB, which, on the first run, unpacks the data to around 150 MB. The game uses the same( or similar) graphics engine used for Airborne, and is. Good. It isn’t as intense as the older brother, but considering the download size is only 25MB, that is insane. It uses recycled models from the game, but it is for people who haven’t played Airborne, so that’s fine.THE GAMEPLAY: For fans of Airborne, Nitro is just a free DLC pack of sorts. It has lesser amount of content, but has the same gameplay elements, and the same game modes to offer. It does encourage loot boxes through it’s card-based upgrade system, but it’s a free game. I won’t go into much detail- if you’ve played Airborne, or seen gameplay, this is pretty much a reduced version of it.THE VERDICT: Nitro is a good game, and is fit for lower devices and fans of Asphalt who want just something more. The card-based upgrade system sucks, but otherwise, it’s a great De-make of A8.
