Astitva is a very interesting serial, even though it does drag on at some points.
It revolves around three main people, Simran Mathur, Abhimanyu Saxena and Manas.
Simran is a doctor and has her own clinic. She has two sisters, two are already married, and she is not.
Simran saves Abhimanyu’s sister Anandi, and Abhimanyu falls in love with Simran, who is ten years old than him.
Then Abhi marries Simran against their parents wishes. Simran is very happy, but at the same time unhappy about her family, and her vicious mother in law.
Abhi then meets Kiran and falls in love with her. They nearly have a child, but it is aborted.
Simran has a very good friend named Manas who has married a girl who is in love with someone else, and is carrying on which he knows. ( he later gets a divorce).
Then Simran realises that Abhi is cheating her, and she is very upset, as she is expecting. Simran then gives birth after leaving Abhi, and names the child Aastha.
Then she feels that she should give Abhi one more chance. But then Abhi is in two minds, should he be with Kiran and Simran. And Kiran is very posessive.
Then he tells Simran nastily that he is not coming back to her. Shattering things begin to happen to Simran, somebody puts her hospital on fire, which is done by Manas’s ex wife, as she thinks that Manas will go to Simran.
Somebody tries throwing acid on Simran, but then all is solved.
Abhi divorces Simran and marries Kiran much to his fathers anger who was very fond of simran.
