Astoria Residency is one of the well designed hotel with elaborate detailing on the interiors and fascinating workmanship in its decoration of its every single room, whether be it Classic Suite, Honeymoon Suite or Royal Family Suite.
The reception was warm and very courteous by its Manager Mr. Dawood and the particular room given No.103 was down at the basement just beside its Dining Room, though a bit noisy, at this point I would recommend you to opt for rooms at the upper floors, though the view from all the rooms was enriching and good giving you the feel of the hilly stay.
The restaurant served delicious food( we only had breakfast) maybe a bit deeper to the pocket and the quantity satisfying. The location is good(Charring Cross) which is suppose to be the heart of the city, very close to malls and tourist spots, maybe a bit walk-able at the most.
The only problem I faced was that the bathroom which had cubicles were leaking and the water was all over the place making it a "wet experience", though it was cleaned by the room service now and then. Secondly the sightseeing rates are a bit dodgy, as the placard in the room says different tariff and we have been asked to pay differently, which I felt annoying, but after a tussle I won and the Manager Mr. Ravi accepted my quote.
Overall I would like to rate this hotel(3.5/5) and would love to recommend it to you minuses the problem I particularly faced.
Happy Journey.
