ASUS K42JA Is great value for money laptop. Its configuration is just awesome. Good speed descent graphics. Windows 7 works smoothly and Aero effects are superb. Comes with a good bundle of Easy to use utilities and softwares. Configuration: I-5 460M Processor, 2GB DDR3 1066 RAM(Upgraded it to 4 GB), 640GB 5400 SATA HDD, ATI Radeon 5730 HD 2GB VRAM Video Card, WIFI, Bluetooth, 0.3 MP webcam. Multi touch track pad. Scratch proof Design.
The negatives would be the speakers are so small and the volume is too low. There is no support fom MAC Operating Systems and therefore MAC OS cannot be installed in this Notebook.
