I had purchased my first tablet from china, imported it and got it for around 6500/-, it was ainol novo elf 2. The tab worked pretty well for 1 year, but unfortunately it was broken.
This has always been an story for my gadgets, as I have childrens at my home.(Cant help it).
I am a kind of person who does a lot of research before buying anything, and so did I researched a lot, all the reviews and tech expert suggest the nexus 7, at that time the price was 15999. I orders it from eBay, used a coupon code to avail discount as well. Got it around 15, 000.
Packaging & tablet itself- I was impress by the packing, it was nice and intact. But not to fancy either. The tablet has a very good back panel as it is rubberized and the golf ball type holes provide much need extra grip, it very difficult to fall from hands.
Battery life- Android is always criticized for battery performance and this one is no exception it lasts around 7 to 9 hours which is still reasonable, for a quad core, hd screen tablet.(Wifi on)
Performance- The nvidia tegra 3 is a power house, the tablet feels nappy, and provides lack free browsing as well.
Screen- The screen is very good, not as good as nexus 2013, but 10, 000 extra for a back camera and better screen is far too much cash to be shell out. According to me.
Cons- No external storage, no back camera.
Verdict- The nexus 7 is a strong preposition, launched in 2012, it can give a tough fight to even some of the latest tabs. Specially now the prices have dropped the tablet make a wonderful value for money. Also its worth mentioningbeing a nexus device it will have all the major updates on the same day the update is launched by google. At prices fallen this much as on date, I dare you to complain
