It is a 3G touch phone from Asus, well known in the domain of motherboards, laptops and netbook assembly. It has a 800MHz processor and is very fast. I have been using Asus P565 for about a year now. Bought it for INR 20k in Mumbai. Overall satisfied with the features and ease of use, however, as with all windows mobile phones, battery life is an issue with this phone.
However, please take it with a pinch of salt - Tata Docomo (Mumbai) connection just drains out all the battery, Idea (Mumbai) is not so bad. SingTel (Singapore) and 3 (UK) were actually without any problem. So I guess its not completely the fault of the hardware. Incidentally there are patches available in other Asian geographies (firmware updates) that supposedly addresses the low battery life issue, but I have not found any available for models in India. I have although heard people modding the firmware and the phone runs like a dream
Launching applications and multi-tasking is a piece of cake and handling media (music, video) is also reasonably good. Camera however needs very stable hands to get a decent picture in high res. One 3rd party free application that I found very useful is "MyMobiler". One can practically control, see and type out using the laptop/computer keyboard and mouse whatever goes on on the mobile screen.
Overall, Im satisfied, however, wished Indian telecom service providers had a consistent and high speed network to completely harness the powers of the beast.
