I recently purchased a Acer ASUS Transformer book from Croma retail in Oberoi Mall, Goregaon East. This model is defective but neither Acer nor Croma has removed it from the product lines and are selling this model with its defect , despite being aware.
After purchasing, when I tried to connect to my wireless LAN at home it would not connect. My other laptops connect perfectly. Then I went back to Croma next day and tried to connect the display piece to my mobile wireless LAN (tethering) that piece too did not connect. Then I connected the other models in the showroom they all connected. The behavior of Croma employees showed that they were aware of this defect and this is why they did not demo the internet connectivity after the purchase. This is conclusive evidence that Acer ASUS Transformer book is a defective model that is still being sold by Acer and Croma. Gullible users who are not tech savvy are likely to be fooled by the product.
Although Croma promised a refund their practice of being aware of the defect of Acer ASUS shows that both the manufacturer and retailer are fooling innocent customers. Acer and Croma must recall and correct the defect in their models to all customers to whom they have sold this defective piece.
Without this defect and misrepresentation this would have been a good model with thoughtful features.
