Pathetic support and service

Bought an ASUS VIVOBOOK 14 INTEL CORE I6 in October 2021. The product is reasonably good for its price, but for the flimsy feeling keyboard, lack of pageup/pagedown keys, positioning of on and power indicators.

In just about a month the charging adapter stopped working and I went to the service centre at Trivandrum, Kerala. There it takes 20 minutes to register a complaint (as per the support people it’s the ASUS issue and they are helpless). That is if there are two persons before you, it’s one hour just to register the complaint.

During 20 minutes the inputs from the customer are name and address, phone number and email id. What it takes 20 minutes to register the complaint?

There is no place to sit while waiting for your turn. The worst is there is no phone to contact them.

They said it will take about ten days to get a replacement and they don’t have a spare charger to help keep me going. I asked whether I can buy a new one by paying, they said they don’t have stock!

So my conclusion is that it’s bad to own an asus laptop (I have been using computers for the past 36 years and laptops for more than 15 years and it’s the first time my work is stalled for more than a day due to a problem with computers), worse to go to their support (F1 infoservices) and the worst to get the support completed. The staff members are just like a sarkari babus who are not at all concerned about the customer. I don’t think it’s their problem, but the system is worst and that makes them like or worse than sarkari babus.
