I would consider Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML to be my first "real" smartphone. Why real? To be honest I did own some smartphones before that but those were "Sony Xperia Tipo" and a Spice mobile and both of them lacked a great deal of features.
I ordered Asus Zenfone 2 online and the moment I opened the package and saw the phones box, it gave a premium feel. To be honest, I loved how it was packed and how it was not just another packaging.
The moment I took the phone in my hand, I was delighted. One because its slim, two it perfectly fitted in my hands and three, even after having a plastic panel at the back, it still gave a premium look(if of course you dont touch the back panel.)
There are some flaws in this mobile, particularly its battery backup. Although, it comes with a 3000 mAh battery but since its powered by an Intel Processor, being power hungry is quite natural. The second flaw that isnt really big, but still considerable if you are looking for indoor photography or low light photography, is its front camera.
Front camera is a little grainy indoors.
But then the feature I loved the most about this phone and the feature that made me fall for Asus, is its Rear Camera. Oh man, I cant tell you how many photos I clicked with its back camera and all those photos look so so so high quality that for once you will be forced into believing that its clicked by a DSLR(of course the difference can been seen upon close look).
But believe me, its rear camera is love, especially if you are outdoors. I currently have another phone thats more expensive that Asus Zenfone 2, but its camera isnt even close to the quality of Zenfones camera. Rather, this handset that I currently have is a flagship handset of an Indian Mobile Startup, but it isnt even a close contended for the quality of Zenfones camera.
I bought a new phone only because my Zenfone got bricked due to me fiddling with Boot loader and flashing OS, and I bought this model just for battery backup and storage since at present I need both of them as a blogger. BUT whenever Im gonna buy another phone, for hella sure its gonna be a model from ASUS.
Once again, this phone isnt a "perfect" phone, but if you are looking for a great camera quality, with decent battery backup at moderate use, lag free experience, and a cost effective price, this phone is a serious option for you to consider.
