I am using the device for last 10 months. Hopefully this review will be helpful to new visitors to Asus gallery.
Pros:
My device fell more than 3 times and with minor dent on metal body(That is hard to recognize), there are no issues because of impact.
Screen is scratch resistant and I have not used any screen guard till date. Satisfied with the quality. A smooth wipe with clean cotton cloth, brings back the shine.
Video viewing and image resolution is good.
I am extensively using my device as wifi hotspot at client locations. More than 3 devices can connect without any issues.
User friendly interface and extensive storage.
Good voice recording software
Cons:
The device gets heated up during charging. I have to place it over floor tiles to cool it.
Proximity sensor have lot of issues. Most of the time if you are not careful, might end up as mute or go on hold.
Battery life started deteriorating within 10 months
Slow and not a good processor.
Finger Print sensor has lot of issues with accuracy
Animation issues
The device will serve you in best condition for 1 year max, post that do expect major glitches with touch and response.
Its your call. I see progressive decline in quality delivered by ASUS from Zenfone 5 to Zenfone 3 Max.
