Asus Zenfone 4: For Your Tight Pocket

Asus ZenFone 4 is an affordable Android Smartphone that has been put in competition with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Micromax Unite 2, Moto E and Huawei Honor Holly. Let us find out how well this new handset from Asus performs:

A strongly built handset, Asus Zenfone 4 comes with a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, keeping it safe from smudges and scratches. The Screen is touch responsive and offers a decent amount of brightness. Everything thrown on the screen looked good, only the thing that might spoil the fun is visibility in sunlight; it is quite poor and screen would glare back at you.

Camera performance I wouldn’t say is exceptional but also not that bad. For a budget phone, Asus Zenfone 4 managed to deliver some decent daylight shots through its 8 Mega Pixel Rear Camera. DO NOT EXPECT SOME MIRACLES- Camera is a big disappoint; usable when you don’t have any other option.

It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat topped with ZenUI interface. The user interface is again simple and clean. The handset is powered with a 1.2GHz dual core CPU based on Intel Atom Z2520 chipset, and includes 1GB RAM. It has 8GB of ROM and support microSD up to 64GB. The handset performed decently well and didn’t showed any signs of awkward freezes and lags; but slow processing was noticeable in camera app, music app and few others. Disappointingly, graphics rich games like Asphalt 8 did ran on Zenfone 4 but with some freezes and stutters. NOT meant for GAMING. Not a Bad Option but then there are Some More Decent Budget Smartphones in the Market.
