The zenophone 5 sure did make some heads turn when it was launched and was pre-booked in numbers. The phone was great value for money for the features it offered. I myself was running from pillar to post for the phone but eventually got it online.
The phone has a great feel in the hand, and is very grippy. The back is slighlty curved makes for great one handed hold. The screen is nice and viewing angles are decent.
The Zenphone was heavily skinned with Asus native apps of which some were boom to use and others were a pain. The camera was decent and pictures clicked were of good quality even when zoomed. However, the video recording was very poor due to some software glitch, the video flickered while recording. The speaker at the rear was barely audible even at the highest volume and was easily muffled being rear positioned.
The phone was snappy to use with 2gb of ram and battery was decent and would certainly die out before the day end. The software updates from Asus did make the battery performance worse and it didnt receive any major Android updates.
All in all a decent phone with good specs but heavily bugged down due to the inconsistent software by Asus.
