The audi TT is an icon. And I got to spend 2 days with this icon which belonged to a friend of mine. This review is based on what all I learned and experienced in those 2 days.
The car looks like a sports car no doubt .With crispier edges and taller front ends with audi’s latest signature single frame grill makes the car look sinister and ready to pounce. A retractable rear spoiler rises at highway speeds to reduce the aero dynamic drag. The tail lights with its free form reflector technology achieves a 3 D effect. The sandard 17 inch wheels with alloys looks deadly and as if to take on any terrain
The car I drove was the top end TT quattro with all wheel drive and 3.2 litre V6 maxing at 250hp mated to a 6 speed s tronic transmission. The sound of the car while accleration is pure music for the soul. The engine which is the same as in Audi A3 is not exactly a scorcher but has the all round efficiency of performance , handling and comfort which makes the car wise choice for the
The interior is more spacious then its previous version. It includes a 3 circular central dash vents, a new shft knob, smaller diameter steering wheel with a flat bottom and more suppoertive seats. This car is meant or 2 and unless your height is 5 ft or less its gonna be a pain sitting at the back.The interior of the model I drove had heated 10 way adjustable seats steering wheel mounted shift paddles, power operated top ( roof ), magnetic ride system which makes the ride so smooth and s tronic 6 speed transmission which is a rage here. Auto adjusting lights and auto dimming rear view mirrors along with 6 Disc cd changer with bluetooth capabilities add to the sheer luxury and practicality of the car.
The roofline is low and the doors rise high giving it a slight clustrophobid feeling which you will soon forget once this machine starts moving. The car feels very torquey and responce is amazing. Finally after 2 days I realise the TT is a great car, but an expensive car which for those who can afford it, should defenitely go ahead but for the simple people like us I would rather save for a porche.
