Auli, located in Chamoli district of Uttrakhand, is one of the less explored hill stations in India. At an elevation of 2, 500 metres above the sea level, Auli nestles in the snow-capped mountains flanked by coniferous and oak forests and offer magnificent view of Mt. Nanda Devi, Nanga Parbat, Dungagiri, Beethartoli, Nikanth Hathi Parbat and Ghori Parbat.While its slopes beckon daring and gallant skiing enthusiasts, its pristine natural beauty and its alpine atmosphere lure many tourists.


Essentially a small and serene hill station, Auli is a skier’s paradise and a haven for nature lovers. Known as skiing paradise, Auli offers a wide range of things to do.Indulge in a sight-seeing trip by a ropeway called Rajju or take a trip to places like Gurso Bugyal – a huge meadow spread or sweet water Lake Chattrakund.


Trekking and hiking are other activities that you can enjoy here. Badrinath is one of the four dhams is one of the places near Auli and if you are interested in shopping then head to Joshimath. Skiing festival is the major festival here. If you want to try your hand at skiing then do visit this hill station on your next holiday.
