A few weeks ago I had to cut my hair short to chin length to fix the mess a hairdresser made when hacking at my hair. Before this I had long hair and even though it looks very nice, it was a constant battle to deal with. My hair used to tangle so easily because the ends where in bad shape from dying it so many times.
I couldn’t stand having to put leave in conditioner in it all the time and thought I might try out a detangling conditioner. After looking through the aisles at Rite-Aid for 10 minutes I decided to go with Aussie Slip Detangler Conditioner because I had always been so happy with the Aussie brand.
The bottle claimed to be a weightless conditioner that eases tangles and adds shine by smoothing the outer layer of hair. Cool, I thought finally something to help my tangles. Unfortunently it didnt work as well as I had hoped. My hair did look shiny and was soft but still was hard to brush through and I had to spray of my Biolage Leave in spray conditioner to release the tangles.
Ive finished off the bottle and I do think its a nice conditioner. It doesnt leave a lot of build up and my hair doesnt seem weighed down like with other conditioners Ive tried. It doesnt do what I had hoped though and but I would buy it again. For $4 for a 12FL. OZ. bottle it is a nice conditioner, it just isnt a good conditioner for tangles.
I would say go ahead and try this if your just looking for a good conditioner that doesnt leave any build up and makes your hair soft Its quick to use when in a rush to get out of the shower. Just massage into hair and rinse, no need to leave in for a few minutes first before rinsing out.
If you have really bad tangles though this conditioner isnt going to help much more than any other conditioner would. My hair did brush through a little easier but the difference wasnt anything to rave about. If you need serious tangle treatment try the Infusium 32 deep conditioner. Ive tried it before and it works pretty good but it does leave hair looking a little flat and weighed down.
