It'll TAKE a lot to BEAT them!

Firstly I must admit I am very depressed(i was crying yesterday).......coz INDIAN team failed to lift the WORLD CUP 2003, i was expecting so much from the dream final, but then as always AUSTRALIA proved that it is an extremely difficult team to beat. And really INDIA had to play above their potential, even if they had to beat the mighty Aussies......though the target of 359 was impossible to chase, i thought our bowlers bowled very poorly, they just made things just so much more easy for the Aussies. And that is where the difference lies between the Aussies and the other teams......they are far too professional to let other teams dominate on them.It was one of those bad days for INDIA but that is no excuse for loosing the match.

Tony Greig yesterday remarked that Australian team is the best one-day team ever, and I quite agree with him. They are an extremely commited, professional, talented and hard-working side. They have time and again proved that they are the best team.......and it will take a lot from other teams to beat them.16 wins in a row for the Aussies.......and three time WORLD CHAMPS..........what more can you ask from a great side.I think this team does deserve all the praise it gets(Though I still love my team the most.......and feel we can give the Aussies a run for their money on our day).

My reasons for AUSTRALIA being such a great team.....

TALENT\BENCH STRENGHT:They have got some of the most talented and destructive batsman and bowlers in their sides, HAYDEN, BICHEL, LEE, GILCHRIST, BEVAN, DAMIAN MARTYN.......are some of them. And then they have such strong bench strenght.......they have so many replacements, When SHANE WARNE and GILESPIE left the team......they brought Bichel, Hogg......who did the job for them. The team which can win without WAUGH brothers, WARNE.......are indeed a great side.

COMMITMENT:All the players in the Aussie side are so commited on the field......they don’t take their place in the team for granted. They give their 100% to each match even if it is with minnows.......and even when they are on the verge of winning a match, they don’t take things lightly, they will not misfield or drop catches.......they are a highly commited side.

AGGRESIVE:Really the killer instinct and aggression is very important in sports.......one should go for the kill, and that is what this team does so well. They will dominate you from the word go......wether they are batting or bowling first......which lifts the further momentum of the team. They always play with a positive frame of mind.Though the one thing I don’t like about them is sledging......or the way they behave with the players of the Asian team on field. They are great winners but sadly very very poor loosers.

PROFESSIONALISM:They play the game with their mind and not heart as the INDIANS do.......they are a very mentally strong team, and play the game like thorough proffesionals. They don’t let emotions rule over them, they don’t get too excited or hyper.......and they don’t let internal politics, media affect their game. They go out to win each and every match and that is why they have such a great record.

HARD-WORKING:They work on all the aspects of their game......and they have even kept a baseball player to help improve their fielding, they work hard to keep fit, they devote their time to work upon their weaknesses and improve them. They are a very fit, strong and athelatic side......and this is the outcome of their hard work.

AUSTRALIA is a great side and really it is a treat to watch them......coz they provide us with so much entertainment, i love their play and aggresion and really if INDIAN TEAM picks up a few things from this team, they can be on par with them.’neways CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AUSSIES, they played good cricket throughout and deserved to win.
