This is one of the best International Airlines I have ever traveled. I had traveled Mumbai-Vienna-Amsterdam and back in Austrian.
The overall experience was good for me. In Mumbai, I checked in just few minutes. The reason is that there wasn’t crowd.
About the in-flight services:
1. Stewardess: They are really pleasing and offered a pretty decent service. All the way from Mumbai to Vienna, they were serving something or the other. They were very courteous and very nice towards the passengers
2. In-flight Entertainment: There was personal Television for every seat in Economy Class also. That was a pretty decent way of telling passengers that they care. They have some TV channels and quite some music channels also. There was a channel which is from a camera near the front tyres. So, you can actually see the take-off and landing too.
3. Food: I would not say that the food was bad. It was ok. We generally cannot expect good food in any airline. So, it was ok.
4. Seating: The seating was pretty decent. Our flight had 2-3-2 seating config in a row. That was quite comfortable. The leg room was not bad. Since I am of average height, I could manage with that legroom.
While coming from Amsterdam, they checked-in my heavy baggage without any extra cost. I liked this from them. Probably, the next time, I travel to Europe I would take Austrian over others, so that I can get the advantage of excess baggage check-in without any extra price!!!!!! Let this not be read by Austrian Airlines Authorities !!!!!!!!!!
On the whole my experience in the flight was pretty good. I would like to travel in Austrian again.
