As an interior designer I have been using this software for all my 2D drafting. This software can be used by all engineers and architect as well. Great functionality and comes in handy to show the clients all the works done either on laptop, desktop and also mobile phone with new autocad app for phones.
Installation is just like any other software simple and clear. And offers you to choose between 2D workspace or 3D at first in 2007 version. I use it for 2D drafting and though it has a 3D workspace I convert the 2D drafts into 3D in AutoCAD 3DS Max.
With just few clicks and command the drafts can be ready in minutes for me. At first this software seemed very complicated but when I started using this software there nothing difficult or complicated even if u forget the command it helps u with the command by showing hints and guides at the command toolbar.
Workspace is black in colour which never strain my eyes even if I work for hours. This colour can be changed but I would prefer black workspace. Set of drawing tools and modifications tools drawing a house plan is a piece of cake once you know what tools is where.
Gives me wide option to change the dimension and style which makes the clients easy to read and understand. Though this software is heavy the job it does is very impressive and I can say this software is very flexible.
Currently I am using the 2007 version and soon will buy the latest version and I am pretty sure the latest version will bring more improvement in the software. I would totally recommend to all the interior designers to use this software for drafting and it will never disappoint you.
