I am writing this with a heavy heart. I have Standard Chartered credit card since 1998 and have never felt so low as I am doing now. And this is not due to my bank’s fault, but due to their association with fraudulent and crook organizations like AVA Merchandising Company. I doubt, how much benefit my bank gets by associating with cheats like them?
Recently, on seeing an advertising brochure of this company that accompanied with my SCB statement, I ordered for a bed sheet. It has been more than 45 days and still I have not received my item. On my repeated calling, I just got assurances or some fake excuses that my item is out of stocks etc. They are also not cancelling the order and best part is I have already paid for the item, though I have not received it (sort of reverse credit, perhaps occurring for the first time in history of credit card industry).
Money part does not pain me that much. What pains me more that I relied on my bank’s credibility. I thought when someone is associating with such a bank then bank people must have done through research before giving them the privilege of putting their marketing advertising brochures’ along with your statement mail. Just from a Google search, anybody can find out about AVA and their history of cheating and sending broken sub-standard items.
