Well, what does AVATAR means - AVATAR means incarnation of god in human form, and this movie is really incarnation of new age Hollywood cinema, which attains height in special effects and scientific technologies, ever achieved and possible. A world imagined by the great visionary director James cameron, and which was created with the help of the technical team is beyond anybody’s imagination.
The cast comprises of Sam Worthington (Marcus Wright character from Terminator salvation), in the role of a handicapped marine, who volunteered for a mission to change himself to a new form, to take avatar, character name here is Jake Sully. Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, the Na’vi species girl, who actually was in the movie in the form of animated/created form, but all the expressions, actions of character is performed by her. Sigourney Weaver in the role of botanist, Dr. Grace Augustine. Michelle Rodriguez in the form of a marine pilot Trudy Chacon. Laz Alonso in Na’vi’s enthusiastic future clan leader Tsu’tsei.And Stephen Lang in the role of villian Colonel Miles Quatrich.
Plot comprises of the world famous concept of human greediness, and the win of good over evil. There’s a colonization in one of the moon of Polyphemus, called Pandora, which is inhabited by a humanoid form called Na’vi. But certainly this unexplored world was eyed by humans, as this moon comprises a vast reserve of so-called precious mineral Unobtainium. Then the team of experts came to explore the world which comprises of Scientist, analysts, technical persons and obviously the marines and army. Their sole aim is not only to study this humanoid form, but also to extract the Unobtainium, which was accidentally abundantly found under one great tree where one clan of na’vi lived. Now, they want a team, who will convert to their form, get inside their clan and try to shift the clan from that sacred place. They ware called Dreamwalkers by the Na’vis. When those humans remains in their Na’vi’s forms, they had to actually play using their minds, means they can be either in human form or be in humanoid form. Jake Sully, the handicapped marine becomes the final dreamwalker and went in Na’vi’s clan, win their promise, loved the clan leader’s daughter Neytiri and became their own. But this journey is not so easy. He has to win over the hostile environment, the unimaginable creatures and heart of future clan leader Tsu’tsey. He has to experience the illuminated plants, illuminated nights and the ancestral tree which depicts their goddess Eywa. But then came to reality, that this beautiful world is going to be destroyed by some greedy humans, and now he has a work to do, to save this indigenous species, which is full of heart and innocence. And then there occurs a clash of good and bad, of innocence and greedyness, of humans and Na’vis.
Movie, is full of unimaginable imagination and full 2:45 HOURS actually make you feel the time is short to experience this new world, the imaginative creatures, the Na’vi clan, the illuminated fauna and flora, the floating mountains, and the sophisticated special effects. The message is well given - stop this hatred towards other species, and most of all stop greedyness, because it will ultimately going to retaliate, by forces of nature. In the last war between them, the feeling of unity came, as all the species including humanoids and wild creatures came united togeteher to fight the bad humans who wants to destroy their land. Very well picturised, supported by background score and the true innocence of Na’vi will certainly win your hearts.
Well, I am out of words because I am really unable to explain this artistic and complex work of imagination. Bravo sirs!! What are you all waiting for now!! If you haven’t watched this movie, haven’t experienced this new world, then I must say that you are missing something and that something is VERY BIG!. Go and watch for yourself in the theatres, because some movies are made for theatres only!. Well Done James Cameron.
