Hi all I m Vinodh and I had taken a Aviva UNILIP policy in 2009 and the policy term was for 20 yrs and I had a lock in period of 3 yrs and after then I can withdraw or continue my policy. These were the statement given by the agent who came to Sell the Policy to me. I had paid yearly 24k and 3 yrs crossed. I felt the Unit rates are still low and every time when I check the website they Rate is always the same. further more I had requested to change my home address and my bank details.
I had visited the Office and have submitted the required proof more than 3 times but still they reflect my old details. This shows the level of customer service they have. eventually I had to close this policy and the lock in period are done as well. but the major highlight is that when I was to close the policy I had 72k till date but they said they would only give me 24k as the 1st year would not invested and 24 for other service charges.
I called the person who sold me the policy and told him the issue and for which he said you should have read the policy and I have read the policy well and clear and there is no details mentioned about these service charges and stuff. they are totally a big time cheater and planning to grow with customer money and cheating them. Most of the policy are useless and people intend to buy due to the outside features.
If you really want to buy a policy please Aviva is not the right place. If you still wanna buy then please put your money into the Oceans and go this is what the end means to your policy. All the money you deposit in AVIVA is like dropping your money into ocean.
