Over the past year, Avon has re-vamped its Hair Care Range out of all recognition. Today, it is known as Advance Techniques and there are over twenty-five different products in this range, costing from £2.49 for shampoo to £3.99 thickening serum (in the UK).
For the fast, frequent hair washer, Avon has the Fortifying 3 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner, containing protein enriched Balancing B2 Complex, may prove beneficial. ‘If you wash your hair everyday try Avon’s Advance Techniques’. (Now magazine).
After using this shampoo, I personally find that my hair soft, shiny and manageable, whilst being strengthen too. This shampoo helps to reduce fuzz caused by humidity and can be used on a daily basis, for all types of hair. The Avon brochure claims that this shampoo range can re-balance the hair from the inside out. I am not altogether sure if this is correct, but it does leave my hair in very good condition.
The Fortifying 3 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner is easy to use with no complicated instructions. A small amount of the white, light floral fragrance thick liquid soap is required to provide a good lather upon the head, following massaging the scalp for about a minute. This soap is easy to rinse out of the hair. This washing process maybe repeated, as necessary.
I do have two complaints. The first is that there is no sun protection factor built within this product. I would therefore not advise this product for sunny climates, well going abroad for two weeks holiday cause if the weather outside is thing to go by, we will not be seeing the sun this year! Remember to wear a hat even if your shampoo has a sunscreen to prevent burning of the scalp.
The other complaints is that with continuous use of this product, my scalp becomes itchy and the skin, flaky. I have spoken to a couple of hairdressers about this reaction and apparently it is a known side effect of conditioners on the skin. I was advised to avoid putting the 3 in 1 directly onto the scalp, as a result. That is easier said than done, so I find that if I use just a shampoo, on its own once a week, resolves the problem.
All in all I would recommend Avon’s Advance Techniques 3 in 1 Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner. Why not ask your local representative for a sample? A 250mls bottle costs £2.49 and lasts two adults around a month. (Well it does in my house anyway!) This Advance Techniques Fortifying 3 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner is excellent value for money but if you do not like it, Avon’s money back guarantee is valid on this product too.
