I have always used waterproof mascara because I wear contact lenses. I am always looking for a new, great mascara. I’ve always liked Avon products, so I thought I’d try their Wash-Off Waterproof Mascara.
Application
My lashes are very straight, so I curl them with an eyelash curler. This isn’t a painful process, but it takes extra time. I applied the mascara after curling my lashes to find that it uncurled them! That’s right. This has never happened with any other mascara I’ve used. My artificial lift fell flat with this mascara.
How did it look?
The mascara went on light and smooth. It did not clump or glob, but left my lashes looking straight and a little thin. I tried to thicken my lashes by applying a few more coats, but my lashes remained thin with the use of this mascara.
Cost
This mascara now comes in a .22 oz, blue tube. The regular price is $6.00, but I got mine on sale for 3.99.
Recommendation
I wouldn’t say this is a bad mascara. It did go on light and smooth, and lasted all day. However, my lashes are very fine and straight. If you have the type of lashes that I have, then this is probably not the best mascara to try. If you have thicker, fuller lashes, then this would probably be a good product to test. Avon has a money back guarantee, so it never hurts to try it.
