I just had to take time off to rave about this album. Its a piece of art. As usual, excellent vocals, lyrics, and instrumentalisation. Check out Space Dye Vest, The Silent Man, and my personal favourite, Lifting Shadows Off A Dream. The last one starts with this really cool piece of music thats very haunting, and has this line that I absolutely love, ...she can turn a drop of water into an ocean...
Scarred is also a must-hear. It starts with an amazing guitar solo. A friend of mine once said that it sounds like a woman wailing, but then, hes stupid...
Caught In A Web and Innocence Faded also caught my fancy. Lie and 6.00 are, of course, in classic DT style... All in all, a must-have album.
But let me warn those who are expecting what is classically known as rock music...Dream Theater is a genre by itself and cannot be grouped with Pearl Jam, or Ozzy, or The Doors, or Megadeth... My advice---listen to them once...you might get hooked for life.
