Headache NO.1!!!

One thing is for sure: Mr.Vikram Bhatt HAS GOT TO STOP MAKING DISASTERS!!

Why? Go watch APD. My goodness, you wouldn’t have come across such a ROYAL piece of CRAP in Decades!! Why Mr.Vikram Bhatt, why?! Yeh Kis Gunaah ki Sazaa De Rahe Ho Humko? Why wreak this Vengeance on all Movie-Goers, who still come to watch your movie, hoping that you will come up with something better! And all they get at the end is only Headaches and Disappointment.

That’s exactly what I am feeling inside me after watching this ’’so called’’ movie. Actually, it is a TIGHT SLAP on the face of film-makers like Ram Gopal Verma, Mani Rathnam, Ashutosh Govarikar, and Farhan Akhtar. They try to make better movies and get Indian movies World-wide recognition. And you, on the other hand are trying to go the other way by making a MOCKERY of their efforts, making such RETROGRADE movies.

APD is a Mish-Mash, and an Expensive one at that, of so many movies and compiled so HORRIBLY, you feel like tearing your hair, when watching it in the theatre. Don’t believe me? Go check out yourself!! Hey Vikram, do us all a favour and go watch Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai. I think thats the perfect way of amalgamating the concepts of so many movies, and blending it beautifully.

So what do we have here? Endless, and mostly, SENSELESS fight sequences that go ON till you YAWWN!!. Instead of the usual fights, we see Akshay and Sunil doing some Martial Arts, with Chinese, Japanese and American fighters POPPING out of nowhere!!!! What is MOST APPALLING though is that these sequences have been LIFTED COMPLETELY from movies like The Matrix, and Crouching Dragon Hidden Dragon to name a few. It’s really disgusting to see Akshay Kumar doing the exact same stunts that Keanu Reeves originally performed. Only Vikram Bhatt is to blame for this Mishap, for he could have tried Something Different and given us and the WORLD something to Enjoy. Instead he does what he is WORST at doing, COPYING!!

The LOGIC DEFYING and Tiresome, Cliche Ridden Storyline/Screenplay only ADDS to our Woes. Clearly, the Script-writers kept their brains OUT while writing this Mumbo-Jumbo!!! A Stale Mixture of various movies like The Whole Nine Yards, and a few other Hindi movies, this one’s clearly for MORONS only!! And above all, there are too many characters in the movie who serve no purpose. Like Aarti as Aftab’s secretary and the other ladies. They’re there only for some BLAH BLAH, and Pelvic Thrusts!! Some of the LAUGHABLE Aberrations are: Akshay Travelling in a Plane Casually removes the Mask he was wearing and Calls up Rahul Dev on the Mobile!! Now, since when did Mobiles start working on Aeroplanes, and what happens when he lands up in USA without all the Make-up which is there in his Passport?!! No one knows!!

The Direction, as I mentioned earlier is a COMPLETE Washout. Vikram Bhatt does nothing but copy other films, and does it very Shabbily. The other irritations he could have easily avoided are the Un-Necessary songs, letting Paresh Rawal SHOUT his LUNGS Out while uttering the dialogues and the LONG DRAWN action sequences. Only God knows how more and more Producers are signing him up?!

The Performances are Uniformly Hampered by Poor Direction. Aftab, Paresh and their wives do a Good Job of Irritating the viewer. Akshay does a Okayish Job and Sunil is, well, restricted to just kicking and punching. The Ladies too are Unbearably Bad, because this movie has NO PLACE for SO MANY women!!!

The Cinematography, Songs and Editing are at best PASSABLE. Background Music is Horrible. The only Saving Grace is the Production Values which are TOP CLASS. Feroz Nadiadwala has poured in Money to make this film as Glossy as Possible. And that’s exactly what remains in the film. Nothing else but Gloss.

Such films IDEALLY SHOULD BE A BIG FLOP at the Box-Office. Yet, somehow they work!! Only God knows how!
