I have recently applied for a home loan and found major issues:(1) They dont have a online / electronic process to accept and approve loan application. they operate via agents(HallMark for me at bangalore) and there is major miscommunication(2) they start looking at your loan application as if you are a "fraud" - they try to get your signature on a XEROX copy - no scanned copy will work for them atleast for KYC. (3) this is a major one - a normal person when signs 100s of paper - signature differs a bit that is a big problem for them.(4) can pay processing fees online - ask a for a cheque all the time. (5) Very bad customer service - no clear checklist give to customer what to expect. They rejected my application - thats OK, I am asking them to return my papers~ that they are not doing yet. I applied the same home loan at HDFC and got it sanctioned in 3 day - entire process is online.
