Run away from this bank

I am an axis bank "PRIORITY" customer and am very very dissatisfied with their service. I feel my money is safer in my own cupboard than in this bank.


I lost my ATM card and spent the last 4 hours trying to get it disabled. Their phone banking numbers NEVER work. I’ve spent so much time on the phone, navigating through the menus and then getting disconnected just before I am connected to the phone banking officer.


Here is the best part, their phone banking officers are available only till 7PM. So if you happen to lose your ATM/Debit card after you’ve paid for your dinner, you are in for a sleepless night as there is no way you can disable the card till the next morning. The point is that the card can be used for shopping without a PIN and anybody who finds it can use it to shop for whatever he wants till your account is drained of all the money. Ridiculous.


I had to finally call up some branch, and talk to the Sales Manager, who very grudgingly said she will do the needful. I hope the card is disabled by tomorrow morning.


I am moving my loyalties to another bank.
