Axis [should we say Access in Excess]

*Axis bank formerly known as UTI Bank, I had a pretty good experience banking with them.

ATM Centre: One of the outstanding bank in regards to ATM Centre. I believe this bank has maximum number of ATM in India. Specially in Mumbai, there has to have atleast one ATM Centre, its absolutely convenient. I remember I had been to Goa, Hyderabad and Ooty recently and I found atleast 3-4 ATM’s and was quite surprised to find it conveniently.

One drawback of this ATM is that most of times you dont get balance slips, as many times it prompts message that slips not available. Another Drawback manytimes people get challenge getting 100/-Rs note. Apart from the drawbacks, the good point about using its ATM is that most of banks are in joint patners with it. So geting to know your account balance and withdrawing money is very easy and is free of charge if you are banking with other banks like ABN Amro, Corpbank, SBI, etc.

Loan facility:  I dont have much idea about the Home Loans, Vehicle Loans. But I had taken Personal loan from them. In this regards Axis bank is utterly poor, though being its banker, getting oan facility is simply a Trojan War. As you ultimately land up fighting with them for some real silly concerns. As I said there is no big thing banking with them, coz if you apply for any loan they ask so many documents even a bank statement. For heaven sake give me a break, if I give you my account number wont be it easy for you to grab the statement from your system, its crazy to chase for documents which takes almost two weeks. After the documentation and approval of your case, your trouble never ends and then you need to literally call the Loan Agents or Loan department of this bank. After giving several calls and updates finally you get your amount.*

*Opening an Account: It may be hunkiedorie case if you arent lucky enough. In my case Axis bank had tieup with my company so account opening procedure was butter smooth. I was pretty impressed for a fact when I saw Banking features like Women Saving account. I felt it would be great to open an account for my sister. But then I landed up constantly following up with bank asking to sen some one to collect documents, or let us know what documents actually is needed to open this account. They keep confirming date but never showed up, it seems they are not interested. But looking at ATM facilities whcih they have I reccommend to open account with this bank to most of them who I know.

Customer Service: Customer service or I would say Kasht [problem]mer service. One major reason i & many people would hate Axis Bank is

1] Call handlers are not trained enough.

2] Poor Product knowledge and not customer oriented

3] Not accessible 24 hours.

4] Query is not attended and sometimes never understood by these CSA agents.

Miscellaneous: Once in a blue moon if you find really exceptional customer service representative online he/she may really help you and your query is fully answered. They sometimes transfer you to appropriate department based on your concern or issue, and good that you dont have to repeat yourself once transfered the first call handler will update the other call handler with necessary information, thus saving time. ATM Debit card is easy to be obtained and you dont have to wait too long to get it. Easy banking at most of places in mumbai they have centre in most locality in Mumbai.  So finally I would say

A fairly good bank. *
