I am a frustrated customer of Axis Bank.
The major point of disappointment is the unavailability of service. In the home page of the site itself, it is said that this bank offers 24x7 banking. But the actual truth is that the site is 24x7 down. Recently, whenever I clicked Personal Banking, it shows me an error saying you must have pressed refresh or back button, login period expired, and all such crappy reasons. This is really frustrating. It has been so many days since I have even seen my account. This was why I am forced to write this kind of a review here.
Another point of unavailability is the ATM service. I wont say that the service is down throughout the month or throughout the year. But it goes down very frequently. I have faced this many times. Most often, when I need some money urgently, the ATM will not be working.
Recently I had applied for Axis Direct, their share trading platform. It was said in the site that you just need to register yourself at the site, and the salesman from Axis Direct will come to your point to open the account. After registering there, one week passed, and there was no call. 2 weeks passed and still there was no call. Then, on fine day one person called me up and asked me for my location details. I gave him all those details, but this man didn’t turn up. Again, after one or two weeks he called me up and said he will come to my house on that day, and that we can open the account. I said, boss, you just brief me about the product and service, and then I will open the account. After this, the salesman had never turned up. So I left all hopes of opening a trading account with Axis Direct. Why should I waste my time and money on such a nonsense.
My dear friends, for heaven’s sake, and for your own sake, never ever open an account with this bank. So far, I haven’t found anything positive with this bank. Even the security provided to your online account is weak. If someone installs a keylogger on your machine, he can easily steal your credentials.
Think twice or thrice before opening an account there.
